Your profile, biometrics, baselines, and every logged workout live in a local database on your iPhone. Your training log itself is never uploaded. Besides the account details below, the only things that leave your device are the usage events and screen recordings described further down. Deleting the app deletes your training data. One exception: workouts TRKR saved to Apple Health (when you enabled "Save workouts to Health") live in Apple Health, not in TRKR — they stay until you remove them in the Health app.
TRKR has accounts. Signing in sends your email address to our server and to Supabase, the service that stores TRKR accounts and sends the one-time sign-in code. We keep your email address and the times you signed in. We do not keep a password.
If you have an MTNTOUGH+ membership, our server asks MTNTOUGH's platform, Uscreen, which member uses your email address. If your membership is under a different email, the app sends a one-time code to that address, and we link the membership only once you enter it, proving the address is yours. We keep that member id, the name and email on that membership, and whether the membership is active, so the app can unlock the programming it covers. We also hold a copy of the MTNTOUGH member list, provided by MTNTOUGH, to check membership status. We never read your MTNTOUGH password.
You can disconnect the membership in the app at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account at the address below; deleting it removes your email and the membership link.
The beta signup form on this site asks for your name, which phone you use, the program you train, the email your invite should go to (on iPhone, your Apple Account email), and, optionally, who sent you. We also note the country your request came from when our host provides it. We store this with Supabase and use it only to choose testers and send invites; for iPhone, we give your email to Apple, which sends the TestFlight invite. To remove a signup, write to the address below.
Connecting Apple Health is optional. When enabled, TRKR reads active energy, heart rate, physical effort, cardio fitness, cardio recovery, BMI, and workout entries to show what your body actually did — and, if you train without a watch, writes your finished workout and its estimated calories back to Health. Health data never leaves your device, is never sent to any server, and is never used for advertising.
TRKR sends usage events (for example: workout started, set logged, workout finished, which buttons are tapped) to our analytics provider (PostHog) to help improve the app and to turn new features on for some users before others. The events carry a random user ID generated on your device (you can see it in Profile) — never your name, email, location, or any health value. IP-based location is explicitly disabled. Usage analytics is part of how TRKR runs and is always on.
To see where the app is confusing, TRKR records how its screens are used — what was on screen and what was tapped — and sends the recording to PostHog with the usage events, along with the app's network requests (the address, method, result and timing of each). Recordings can show training numbers on screen, such as weights, reps and estimated calories. Anything read from Apple Health (heart rate, measured calories, cardio fitness, cardio recovery, BMI, effort), your notes, and anything typed into a text field is blacked out before it leaves your device.
TRKR does not track you across other apps or websites, shows no ads, and never sells or shares your data with data brokers.
TRKR provides fitness guidance, not medical advice. Consult a physician before starting any training program.
